Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Glue software, the website at gluestick.sh, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).

Glue is operated by an individual (“Operator,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). There is currently no registered company behind this Service. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Acceptance and definitions

1.1 Acceptance

By creating an account, downloading Glue software, or purchasing a paid plan, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

1.2 Definitions

  • Software: Glue CLI, Glue Desktop, and related applications we distribute.
  • Account: The user account you create on gluestick.sh.
  • Pro Subscription: A paid monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks Pro features.
  • Merchant of Record (MoR): Paddle.com Market Limited processes payments, collects taxes, and issues invoices on our behalf.

2. The Service

2.1 Free features

Core package-management features of Glue CLI and Desktop remain available without a paid subscription, subject to these Terms and any usage limits we publish.

2.2 Pro and Teams

Pro unlocks paid features such as environment health checks, snapshot backup and rollback, and multi-device environment sync, as described on the Pricing page. Teams plans are arranged separately by contacting us.

2.3 Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for illegal purposes;
  • share, resell, or transfer your Account or subscription access in a way that circumvents our licensing;
  • attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse our servers, APIs, or payment systems;
  • upload or transmit malware, or content that infringes others’ rights.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your Account. You must provide a valid email address and keep it reasonably up to date. We may suspend or terminate Accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payments, refunds, and cancellation

4.1 Merchant of Record

Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We do not store your full payment card details. Billing, tax, and invoices are handled through Paddle’s checkout and customer portal.

4.2 Subscriptions

Pro subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. Prices and features are shown at checkout and on the Pricing page and may change for future renewals with reasonable notice where required.

4.3 Refund policy

This section is our standalone Refund Policy for Pro SaaS subscriptions:

  • First Pro subscription purchase: If you are not satisfied, you may request a full refund within fourteen (14) calendar days of the original purchase date. Email support@gluestick.sh from the email used at checkout and include your Paddle order or receipt details. Upon refund, Pro access will be revoked.
  • Renewals and subsequent billing periods: Fees already paid for a renewal or later period are non-refundable. You may cancel future renewals at any time so you are not charged again.
  • Subscription cancellation: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time via the Paddle customer portal or by emailing support@gluestick.sh. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not by itself refund the current billing period except as described above.
  • Chargebacks: If you open a payment dispute, we may suspend access while the dispute is resolved.

Where consumer protection laws in your country give you mandatory rights that cannot be waived, those rights apply in addition to this policy.

4.4 Cancellation

You can cancel renewal through the Paddle customer portal (using the email from checkout) or by contacting support@gluestick.sh. Cancellation stops future charges; it does not automatically refund the current period except as described in Section 4.3.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, branding, and our proprietary software are owned by the Operator or our licensors. Open-source components are provided under their respective licenses (including MIT where stated for Glue projects). Package manifests and third-party software you install through Glue remain subject to their own licenses and ownership.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that package installs will succeed for every environment.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or misuse the Service. Sections that by nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, and refunds already processed) will survive termination.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Material changes will be reflected on this page; continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
